Brent Leideritz: Anarchy in the AI

  • Free
  • Art

Brent Leideritz is an Adelaide based artist working in the expanded space of photography. Leideritz practice, founded in self-taught and experimental film-based photography during the 1990s and 2000s, incorporates digital mediums, utilising digital post-production and in this exhibition exploring AI-generated promptographic resolutions.

In Anarchy in the AI Leideritz interrogates identity, nostalgia, and memory, producing works that raise questions about how identity is formed, and how identity is oppressed or liberated through cultural structures, kin and communities.

Challenging constructed societal norms, and dated binaries of the past, their practice considers the politics of identity and aims to provide space to those that may be seen as ‘other’ to be seen and heard.
