April overview

April in Melbourne brings Easter celebrations, with chocolate, hot cross buns and public holidays on Good Friday (10 April) and Easter Monday (13 April).

Enjoy a show at the Comedy Festival (daily until 19 April), head to the Sri Lankan Festival and commemorate Anzac Day (25 April) at the Shrine of Remembrance dawn service.

During the Easter school holidays (28 March to 13 April 2020), keep the kids entertained with free events like Top Arts, Fed Square's Summertime Social and the final days of Kaws: Playtime.
