Free public tours of Parliament House are conducted on days when Parliament is not sitting. You don’t need to book unless you have a group of six or more.
Parliament House is one of Melbourne's best known landmarks. Facing the intersection of Spring and Bourke streets, the west facade, sweeping steps, elegant lamps and grand colonnade are an impressive sight.
The inside is no less grand, with the splendid architecture of the Legislative Assembly, Legislative Council, Queen's Hall and library.
Group tours are available on sitting days at 9am, 10am, 11am, 1.30pm (Question Time), 3pm and 7.45pm (on Tuesday and Wednesday nights only).
