WALA: A Journey to Ghana

Immerse yourself in the traditions and histories of West Africa through an interactive lecture, drum-making workshop, and dance and drumming classes.

Join a two-day celebration of the stories, songs, and dances of the Ga-Dangme people of Ghana.

Attend an interactive lecture on dance and music in Ghanaian society, make your own drum, and learn about Kpanlogo dance. Put your new knowledge into practice, with drumming and dance lessons, and an opportunity to showcase your skills in a live performance with the full WALA music and dance ensemble.

Tickets are free, but places in individual workshops are limited so please reserve a ticket online. Does not include museum entry.
