Veraison: the onset of ripening grapes

In late summer, vineyards across the country begin to see their carefully nurtured fruit ripen. Acids developed over cool nights give way to the sugars accumulated from days sitting under the hot summer sun. It’s a moment of transformation and a reward for months of patience.

This is the sentiment behind Veraising – RISING’s sprawling tasting of natural, organic and minimal intervention wine. After months of waiting the time has come to gather again and enjoy the ultimate end product of viticulture, the coming together of old friends and new, to share stories and forge new memories. And open many bottles.

Veraising features over 200 wines from over 30 independent winemakers and suppliers from Australia and abroad including A.R.C, Bobar, Konpira Maru, Latta Vino, Dirty Black Denim, Minim Wine, Lo-Fi, Campbell Burton and Giorgio De Maria. Tickets include entry, a tasting glass and unlimited tastings; snacks will be available to buy on the day.
