Self Assembly
In this workshop with Simon, you will use your hands to craft a stick figure sculpture in your likeness with fallen branches and plaster. You will create limbs, a torso, a head and use bandages and plaster to hold them together. As the plaster sets, the raw materials transform into expressive statues that capture gesture and movement. Work with others to join your individual figures together and build a community of stick figures that stand strong and united. Explore creativity, connection and repair through this collaborative figure-making workshop.
Simon is a visual and socially engaged artist with over 30-year’s experience of delivering and designing programming for children and families in several countries and was founding Creative Producer of ArtPlay and SIGNAL in Melbourne.
