Youri Choi is a graphic designer and illustrator living in Melbourne, and this is her first picture book and exhibition of illustrations.
From ideation to the final works, the public can share the character's life journey and the feelings they experience in the story. In the picture book, the main character is little, weak, poor, and considered a second-class citizen.
Through this character, the reader can think about when we meet different types of people and reflect on saying a kind word or gesture, even if the person is different to us. The message of the book is that we can care more about people by making a nicer society.
