Established in 2006 by a women-led team, Red Pepper continues to deliver authentic, North Indian cuisine. The menu is influenced by the Punjab, Goa, Himachal, Delhi and Rajasthani regions.
The ambience is designed to be smart casual, with a sprinkle of fun. The building is located at the top end of Bourke Street and is heritage-listed. It features polished floorboards, track lighting and has Indian prints on the wall. Indian classic jazz music plays in the background.
The most popular offers include lunchtime thalis. A thali is an Indian-style meal made up of a selection of various dishes which are served on a platter. Delicious two and three course set menus are served for dinner, alongside à la carte offerings.
