Gingerboy is a modern Australian adaptation of Asian hawker-style street market food.

The restaurant is inspired by the buzzing, colourful and fun atmosphere of Asian street kitchens and hawker markets making a fast-paced, youthful and dynamic environment.

Graze on salt and pepper chicken spare ribs, crying tiger beef salad, steamed dumplings and street-style snacks. Larger dishes are for sharing. Try the grain-fed wagyu, whole fried baby snapper or silken tofu with spiced black vinegar, all served with steamed jasmine rice.

Complete your Gingerboy experience with the dessert plate to share, or covet your own chilli peanut parfait with chic coated freeze dried fruit. For a tailored meal to suit a crowd or dinner for two, splash out with the banquet menu.

If you're looking for wine, cocktails and pre-theatre snacks, head up one level to Gingerboy Upstairs.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong Boon Wurrung peoples of the Eastern Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past, present and emerging.

We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection the Wurundjeri, Bunurong, Dja Dja Wurrung, Taungurung and Wadawurrung peoples of the Eastern Kulin have to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We are committed to our reconciliation journey, because at its heart, reconciliation is about strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal peoples, for the benefit of all Victorians.
