UPDATE FRIDAY 16 JULY 2021
In light of the recent Victorian Government lockdown, we have made the difficult decision to delay Firelight Festival. Tickets for Firelight were snapped up quickly, which shows how many people were looking forward to joining us.
We are keen to host this event at a future date, as soon as restrictions allow us to do so and will be in touch with more information when it becomes available.
Melbourne’s epic winter festival lights up Docklands over five nights. Be there to catch fire installations, music, and winter-themed cuisine to warm your heart and soul.
How to plan your visit
The festival fires up each night at 5.30pm. Firelight Festival is free, but bookings are essential. Join the waitlist to be first in line for the next release.
Events take place at two Docklands locations, New Quay Promenade and Victoria Harbour Promenade. The event sites offer the same awesome experience - so you don't need to book tickets to both.
Driving in? More than 30 city carparks are offering $5 parking, book ahead to score.
Experience the spectacular laser and light show
Each evening during Firelight Festival, Docklands sparkles with the Oracle Liquid show. Lasers and lights create a mythical phoenix, coming to life before your eyes. The show runs for seven breathtaking minutes, with hourly sessions from 6.30pm. Witness the magic from both festival locations. Presented by Development Victoria.
Marvel at fiery installations and performances
Artistry and fire come together in the festival’s giant sculptures of a phoenix and a deer. Nearby, flames leap into the night from jets and cauldrons lining the two festival promenades. Look out for the roving fire-breathing trumpet player as he warms up the crowd.
Listen to live music from around the world
More than 40 musical performances each night ensure toes keep tapping. World beats fill the air with Mexican mariachi music, Balkan rhythms and American percussion. Throughout the night, the Firelight DJ spins hot tunes to keep hips swinging.
Feast with Melbourne's best pop-up bars and food stalls
All this excitement works up an appetite. More than 20 food and drink stands will be on hand to please every palate. Fuel up with giant paellas and blazing BBQ, tasty pizzas and satisfying soups. Round off the evening with delicious desserts, mulled wine and hot chocolate.
Change of plans? If you can't make it to the festival, you can return your tickets online.
