 Leempeeyt Weeyn'

Image1Image2Image3

Description

Fitting with the traditions of many cultures, the Leempeeyt Weeyn', meaning 'campfire' in the Gunditjmara language group of Western Victoria, is central to Melbourne's winter celebrations.

Located in Federation Square, the campfire will be officially lit on Saturday 5 August with an Indigenous Welcome to Country and will burn continuously for three weeks.

Be mesmerised by the fire as it becomes the centre of live performances, storytelling, learning and sharing over the course of Fed Square's winter program.

Federation Square
Corner of Swanston & Flinders Streets
