The perfect soundtrack to summer in the city, at one of Melbourne’s favourite venues. In 2019, the MSO celebrates 90 years of free concerts, and 60 years at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl! Admission is free and gates open at 4:30pm. Entry is on a first in, best dressed basis, so grab your friends and your picnic blanket and get ready for a gorgeous night.
On 8 Feb at 7:30pm, it's Gershwin and Friends, with conductor Benjamin Northey, vocalist Olivia Chindamo, and
Daniel Le on piano.
On the 16th Feb, it's Saturday Night Symphony, conducted by Tianyi Lu and featuring works by Berlioz, Satie, Debussy, Fauré and Tchaikovsky.
Then, on the 20th Feb, it's A Symphonic Celebration, conducted by Benjamin Northey, with Veriko Tchumburidze on violin and Calvin Bowman on organ.
