Raising the Bar will bring the city's greatest minds and creative thinkers to some of Melbourne's favourite bars and public spaces on Wednesday 28 November.
Ponder fascinating themes including whether nerds run the world, why we can't vote online, how much you should worry about data privacy, if the future is non-binary and whether you can loathe the musician, but love the music.
Raising the Bar will feature 22 talks across seven bars, including Party World Karaoke, Belleville, Bar Ampere, Loop bar, FAD Gallery RMIT and Horse Bazaar. With two talks at each venue, and venues nearby, you'll have the choice of settling in for the evening, or bar-hopping to your favourite topics.
Raising the Bar has been held worldwide, including in New York, London, Hong Kong, and San Francisco. The City of Melbourne will host the global knowledge event for the third year running after sell-out events in 2016 and 2017.
See the website for the full program of talks and locations.
