The State of Public Mental Health Services

The State of Public Mental Health Services

Description

Services are facing unprecedented demands in the face of population growth, limited beds, and community support services unable to provide the intensity or duration of treatment needed.

Come to a free public lecture where Dr Ruth Vine will explore some of the issues surrounding state-funded mental health, especially how the rhetoric of 'person centred care' can be provided in this complex policy, funding and service environment.

Associate Professor Vine will also discuss some innovative programs being developed by the mental health team at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.
