Celebrate Australia's computing history and future as part of the Digital Innovation Festival.

CSIRAC – the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Automatic Computer, originally known as CSIR Mk 1 – was Australia's first digital computer, and the fifth stored program computer in the world.

The CSIRAC 70th Anniversary Celebration will explore the impact of computation in Australia. Speakers include:

- Gilbert Brunet - Group Executive and Chief Scientist, Bureau of Meteorology.

- Grant Petty - CEO and Founder, Blackmagic Design.

- Liz Sonenberg - Professor and Pro Vice Chancellor, The University of Melbourne.

- Professor Jon Whittle - Dean of the Faculty of IT, Monash University.
