 Flowers of War Garden Tour

Image1

Description

Learn about the various plants and flowers in the Shrine's garden and courtyards and think about the different ways they have been used as symbols of remembrance, then view the special First World War centenary wreath 'Flowers of war' in the Galleries.

Throughout the First World War and in the years since, brooches, medals, pins and badges have been worn to remember loved ones. Get crafty following the tour in a hands-on session where you can make a floral symbol or brooch.
