Come along to the Shrine for a fun hands-on play and making session.
With resources scarce during the Second World War, there was little that people on the home front could do other than 'Make Do and Mend'. Using a variety of materials that have had previous lives, young minds are encouraged to get creative and re-purpose them. And just like the Second World War generation before them, wear or use the new creations proudly.
A guided experience of the Shrine's Galleries of Remembrance to introduce the themes of resourcefulness, resilience, adaptability and ingenuity will precede this engaging hour of creativity.
