Clapping games have been played in the schoolyard and beyond for decades, maybe even centuries. They pass from child to child and generation to generation, but who created them? And what do they mean?
Together with the artists, children at ArtPlay have interpreted the language and imagery of these rhythmic, rhyming songs through drawing, sculpture and animation.
Come and see the results, play a game, and perhaps even learn a new one!
This project is part of ArtPlay's New Ideas Lab program, where artists are supported to create new work with children and families.
Age: 4 to 12 years
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
