From edible insects to spent brewers grain, dig into this delectable dinner in the Utopian Foods café and bar to be transported to a future where the food we eat is sustainable, unusual and delicious. This interactive six-course meal will explore a range of current issues that we are facing in the world, including invasive species, climate change, biodiversity loss and alternative proteins.
This meal will be designed and executed by the Slow Food Project's chef Ben McMenamin (formerly of Oakridge Wines, Supernormal and Cumulus) with matched beverages by Orland Marzo (2019 Best Bartender in the world).
Exploring concepts and trends that shape our world, this dinner will take guests on a journey into a Utopian food future.
This event is part of Melbourne Knowledge Week (MKW), running from 20-26 May.
