The 2017 Indian Film Festival of Melbourne explores the theme of diversity and features 60 films in 20 languages, spanning Bollywood box office hits to documentaries and art-house favourites.

The festival launches with a screening of Lipstick Under My Burkha and closes with the film Shab. The Westpac IFFM Awards will be hosted during the festival on Friday 11 August, and the Telstra Bollywood Dance Competition will be held at Fed Square on Saturday 12 August at noon.

Enjoy free screenings at Federation Square during the festival, and meet the movies' acclaimed stars and directors at special screening events.

Opening night (Thursday 10 August): 6.30pm for a 7pm event start, preceded by a traditional lamp lighting ceremony. Closing night (Tuesday 22 August): 7pm for a 7.30pm event start. See the event website for full program details.
