Description

Created by Arts Centre Melbourne in collaboration with the music industry, the Australian Music Vault is a celebration of Australian contemporary music - its past, present and future.

The Australian Music Vault features a permanent free exhibition showcasing the Australian music story, interactive and digital experiences, iconic objects from the Australian Performing Arts Collection and an ongoing calendar of performances, education and public programs. It's a place to explore your love of music, revisit some of the big music moments of your life, share memories and discover the exciting new stories of today's Australian music scene.

The Australian Music Vault includes a digital experience that is highly interactive allowing visitors to listen to interviews with musicians, promoters and behind-the-scenes people sharing their stories within the engagement zones.

Immerse yourself some of Australian music's epic moments with the The Amplifier. The Amplifier is made up of three experiences, including a new triple J Unearthed experience, where you can marvel at the abundance of musical talent pouring out of bedrooms and back rooms across Australia. Other experiences in The Amplifier include celebrating the mother of all festivals at Sunbury and the screaming audience at Countdown.
