Description

Coral Williams’ son, Scott has been imprisoned for the violent rape and murder of a young woman, Donna Milsom.

Coral, a struggling single mother, has arranged a meeting with the parents of the victim. She has asked experienced convener, Jack Manning to mediate. Along with Scott's siblings and uncle, and the prison psychologist who recommended him for release, the eight characters reveal their stance on what led to the horrific crime and why they chose to attend the meeting.

In a 90-minute, intense ensemble piece, 'A Conversation' explores family and sexual violence, social welfare, and punitive justice through themes of loss, grief, anger, and forgiveness.
