Description

With its Moorish minarets, night-sky ceiling and Roman statues, the Forum is a magnificent venue for music or film and a longstanding Melbourne landmark.

The first talkies played here in 1929, but the former cinema came into its own as a venue for the Melbourne International Film Festival and Comedy Festival. It’s also an atmospheric live music venue, hosting the likes of Midnight Oil, Stereophonics, Phoenix, Harry Styles, At the Drive-in and Supergrass.

The large downstairs venue is ideal for corporate launches and cocktail receptions, while upstairs houses a 520-seat theatre, small stage and large theatre screen.
