Description

Monument Park is located in the public open space between the Sant’Elia, Conder and The Quays at NewQuay. The former concrete plaza has been transformed into an engaging place for locals and visitors to meet, play, admire the sculptures and linger. It contains the work of internationally renowned artist Callum Morton.

Callum Morton's inspiration was the use of existing monuments scattered in the Melbourne CBD along with the Hoddle grid. Those are then covered with a 'concrete carpet', the carpet is then peeled back to reveal bursts of colour and landscaping. Can you recognise these famous Melbourne monuments that have taken a new form?

The project is supported by the City of Melbourne and funded by MAB and Places Victoria.
