Description

With the Shrine of Remembrance at its heart, the Shrine Reserve features numerous memorials and civic monuments, and is a part of the Domain Parklands.

The memorial parklands extend for 13 hectares, and are fundamental to the overall design of the Shrine of Remembrance. Ceremonies are conducted in the reserve throughout the year, with specific trees being associated with a military unit or association.

In addition to the Shrine of Remembrance and the Shrine Visitor Centre, the reserve includes memorial trees, the Eternal Flame, the Legacy Garden of Appreciation, the Women's Garden and Memorial Cairn, the Gallipoli Memorial, the Drivers and Wipers statue, Purple Cross Horse Trough and the Cobbers statue.
