Entered from Flinders Street, Campbell Arcade underground shopping precinct dates from 1956 and connects Degraves Street with Flinders Street Station.
The arcade features an eclectic range of shops, including a dedicated zine shop; recycled, independent and local fashion; handcrafted jewellery and accessories; a record shop; a unisex hairdresser; a newsagency; and hole-in-the-wall coffee dispenser, Cup of Truth.
Subway grit meets art in 12 glass display cabinets featuring the work of diverse creatives, from artists and curators to scientists and engineers. Called The Dirty Dozen, they are managed by the Creative Spaces program - In keeping with Melbourne’s love affair with hidden spaces, the display cabinets both surprise and attract people to one of Melbourne’s oldest commuter underpasses.
