Visitors to Alfie's Wine & Grill can enjoy a full meal, or just a glass of wine. If you want something small, the croquettes go well with wine. There are 80 wines on the list, mainly Victorian, but bolstered by bottles from France and Italy.
The grill-based menu features eye fillet and T-bone steaks. For something smaller, try the grilled quail, served with smoked eggplant puree, capers and shallots. A vegetarian option is the grilled butternut pumpkin, goat’s curd and chamomile oil risotto - made with black barley, not traditional Arborio rice.
